As Shannon mentioned when she started all this, our front porch is one of the most special places of our home, and the swing takes center stage... Somehow life would be less full without out it. Thank you to my wonderful husband for building it so many years ago!

Thought you might enjoy these...

My Very First Time!

For those of you who are wondering...no, I am not a figment of Shannon's imagination. I really do exist!

Shannon, thank you so much for this gift. It really is one of the best surprises I've ever received, not only because it is something I wanted, (but didn't know how to do) but because you captured who I am so well...

For those of you who don't know me, I live in south Louisiana and I love it here. I have been married to the same man for 36 years and marriage just keeps getting better! We were blessed with 2 daughters and now we have the most amazing grandchildren ever. I know! All grandparents say that, but I'm really right about it! :)

I work part time with children and teen-agers. It is the most perfect job for me. I learn from, and am inspired by these young people every day...so you may often hear stories of what I was taught by a child. It will so often surprise you!

So, this is my first post to my own blog :)
Makes me smile...I love new adventures!
If you have stopped by, thank you for visiting!

Welcome

This is Susan's daughter, introducing her blog. I set it up for her as a surprise, since I knew she wanted one, but didn't quite know how to get started. For years, Mom's home has been open to friends, family, and those who would wish to be adopted as either. And there is always an abundance of warm food and good coffee. I'm sure her blog will be no different, though you'll have to supply your own treats. Mom's front porch swing has never been vacant, so wether it is day-to-day stories she's going to share, or recipes, or pictures of her adorable grandchildren - I know she'll share them with an open heart, and welcome your company.

It's all yours now, Mom. Love you-
Shannon
